My practice is flexible in its forms. From painting, ceramics and tattoo design to resin, writing and digital animation. I find I am guided more by curiosity than convention.

My work often references art, film and tv while exploring themes of culture, nature’s patterns and the process of love and loss.
I have a particular tenderness for the wild, the fragile and the deeply felt.
I create pieces that spark joy by honouring loved ones or life’s experiences and revel when I can find balance within art despite my “too much” genes.

As I was raised split between the Gold Coast’s glitzy beaches and a sleepy rural town I try to imbue my work in both earthiness and edge. With intuitive processes and sloth like patience my execution of ideas unfolds slowly… shaped by thoughtful experimentation and careful reflection.

The first commission I took on was a memorial portrait of a Golden Retriever puppy.
Dogs have always been dear companions to me and with that; intimate Memento Mori works have become a meaningful thread in my practice.

Since Rhiordan’s sketch I have found myself extending into portraits of past youth for nostalgic comfort in hospice rooms, eternal youth for parents or partner perspective to be shared as a gift.

These commemorative pieces are often contrasted by my love for delineating with Unalome family portraits. You can find more information and examples of these within my painting section on the portfolio page.
I enjoy the challenge of doing my best to capture individual character in pet and human faces alike.

P.S; I am currently in a season of renewal with a focus on more structured commission work and creative writing rather that developing any personal projects in 2026.
